140 Tips to Save Big on Veterinary Bills

August 30, 2010 With the economy the way it is SAVING every penny helps, ESPECIALLY when it comes to pets. I recently asked readers to submit their money saving tips for pets.

Some of the more ORIGINAL suggestions included:

1. Using Prayer Energy
2. Feeding Dogs Raw Goat Milk
3. Putting Lotion on Cat Paws to Prevent Hairballs
4. Getting Cheaper Pet Supplies from Farm Stores
5. Local Military Veterinarians Have Lower Fees

While some of the suggests to save on pet expenses might seem absurd to you, for others, they offer an original way to save money.

Here are my top five suggestions to save on pet expenses:

1. Regular vet exams to catch problems early.
2. Keep household toxins locked up to prevent accidental poisoning.
3. Always keep your dog on a leash or in a fenced backyard.
4. Avoid giving your pet too many table scraps.
5. Be sure to compare pet insurance prices before buying a policy.

I have always stayed on the internet to find solutions for my dog. I colorado springs senior center would not go to the veterinarian unless it is really needed. There are so many online resources available. This could actually save a lot of money.
