AAA Picks Best Vehicles for Dogsby Dr. Chris
August 22, 2010 AAA released what it thought was the top vehicles for dog owners this week. Making the list includes the: Honda Element, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Soul, Nissan Cube, Subaru Forester, and the Volvo XC60. The Toyota Venza, Ford Escape Hybrid, and Mazda 3 also made the list. AAA picked the vehicles based on easy to clean interiors, cargo size area, and how easy it is to get an animal in and out. They also were concerned with the owner's safety and considered the crash test ratings, safety features, and fuel economy of each vehicle as well. AAA said the Kia Soul was great for small and medium sized breeds. They also said that the Nissan Cube was surprisingly big and good for larger breed dogs. The Toyota Venza was praised for its available pet accessories like a pet restraint system, a pet barrier and a dog tether.
