Akita dog urinated several times, very unusual, she urinated about every 20 feet, instead of her usual 3 or 4 times

My dog woke me up this morning, which is very unusual for her, with an urgency to go outside. I let her out and she urinated several times, also very unusual. I took her on a walk immediately and she urinated about every 20 feet, instead of her usual 3 or 4 times. She also ate some grass and vomited. When we got home, she drank a little water and now she seems okay. Should I take her to the vet, or is there something I cn do at home for her?---------------------------------------------------------------- Hi,

This sudden increase in urination could possibly be caused by several things. One could be the possiblity that she got into some plant, which could of caused her to feel more anxious.

Another possible cause is a hormonal change, but this increased urination seems to be sudden, and not a gradual change over time. I would closely monitor your dog, and if the signs persist, see your vet for a physical exam.
