	Bathe your dog at home Get a large plastic tub big enough to accommodate about 10 buckets of water (for a large dog). Place the tub outside, within leash length of a tree. (If you live in a sunny climate, fill the tub in the morning and let the sun warm it up.) Leash your dog to the tree. Use 3 to 5 buckets of water to get your dog wet. Use dog shampoo to lather him.
