Cat Scratch Fever?

If you're cat seems to be scratching an area over and over (and your vet has diagnosed a skin condition) and even if you tell it to stop and it doesn't stop scratching, cut the sleeve off of an old shirt, and wrap it loosely around the area they are scratching (i.e, their neck) so that the area doesn't get air particles which causes it to itch.
