Cheshire Cat

The Cheshire cat is not an actual breed of cat, but the cat from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

This cat has become popular recently in pop society. Its use has been associated over the years with drug use and some alternative music venues.

Alice encounters this cat three times:

>In the Duchess’ house kitchen
>Outside in tree branches
>At the Queen of Heart’s croquet field

The cat was known for its unique grin and confusing conversations it had with Alice. It raised philosophical points as well.

It gradually disappears in the story and leaves only a smile. The Queen of Hearts ordered the cat beheaded, but the executioner did not know if this as possible of the body was missing!

The Cheshire cat is credited with several popular quotes. For these check out the book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
