Crazy: Dog is ‘Totaled’ After Car Accident

by Dr. Chris

August 21, 2011 This is something I find crazy. According to reports, Farmer’s Insurance agency told a Colorado woman her dog was “totaled” after an accident and won’t pay any veterinary bills. Marcia Pinkstaff was out walking her dog when it was hit by a van. She says her veterinarian diagnosed the dog with lung tears, a torn diaphragm, and liver damage.

Farmer’s Auto Insurance, who insured the driver of the van says they would only pay for the initial veterinary visit and would “consider” paying for only one follow up visit. This is crazy, because a dog with this much internal trauma is going to need more than one follow up veterinary visit.

Farmer’s says they considered the dog “totaled.” So they are telling her they want her to buy a cheap replacement dog, rather than spend money fixing the injured dog.

Most auto insurance companies consider dogs as property and therefore don’t cover them medically.

Dog are really very loyal and faithful animals. These are such lovely pets. Their loss is a real pain. You have given a little detailed. But in best essay writing service one can discuss the detail so much more, plus the pets, their love and their health and loss are a very common topic in essay writing services. Nice blog. But it could have been much more better. I'm very sorry for her loss.

I think the driver has said the right thing and it is better to leave him. The dog will get the insurance money for the further treatments. So now the dog owner has to spend the initial expenses. Keep sharing such posts! In home care

We need to be responsible NEW
by: Joe

This incident proves one thing that we need to be more responsible in reading and understanding terms and conditions quite clearly to have avoided this kind of situation in future. It can happen to anyone at anytim and they will treat you like the same way. You have to deal with such case involving your pet. I do work for a essay writing company (homepage) and hence these information that I have learned from here is going to help me in my works on next writing projects, for sure. Thanks for every contribution made by some nice users about their experiences, it not only helpful to me, but also to many other readers yet to visit this web source.
