Dog estrous temperament change

Will a 6 month old puppy experience temperament changes during her first estrus cycle.




Hi Doris,

Many female dogs do show some temperament change during the first estrous cycle. Some may appear more tired while others may be more aggressive and even try to escape. During walks you may notice her urinating more frequently. Normally female dogs in heat try to attract male dogs by using pheromones.
