my dog won't stop shaking, he is acting very sheepish with his tail between his legs and seems reluctant to move anywhere, he also is not eating

Dog is in Pain

Having had dogs all my life (63 yrs), I'd say your dog is having some pain and is scared and/or hurting. I hope you get him to a vet asap.
