Don't Pick Up After Your Dog? DNA Will Catch You

by Dr. Chris

July 3, 2011 An apartment complex in New Hampshire is using dog DNA testing to catch residents who don't pick up after their dogs.

Timberwood Commons, in Lebanon N.H. is making dog owners submit a poop sample from their dogs so they can keep a dog poop database of DNA.

That way they can trace back any poop found on the premises to find the offending dog.

Manager Debbie Violette says she has tried warning letters and many other things, but nothing worked.

PooPrints supplies the DNA kits.

Also, the Village of Abacoa, a 458 condo unit in Jupiter, FL started doing it as well: Palm Beach Post
