Fake Veterinarian Sentenced to 60 Days of Home Arrest
by Dr. Chris
October 25, 2010 A fake veterinarian was recently sentenced to 60 days of home arrest. The woman, who the Winchester Sun Newspaper reports as Nicole Linden, pleaded guilty to practicing medicine with no license.
Apparently the 29-year-old was working at the Winchester Animal Clinic for six months before being caught. She was also accused of giving vaccinations to animals and having the customers pay her, instead of paying the clinic.
This story is somewhat similar to a story I reported earlier, see:
Fake Veterinarian Arrested in Fort Meyers, FloridaIt seems like more and more people are trying to make a quick buck by impersonating a veterinarian.
So the next time you are at the vet clinic, just don't assume your vet is licensed!
