FIV Positive Cat Dying - What Are The Signs of a Dying Cat?

I need to know if my FIV positive cat is dying. He is about 14 years old. About a week ago he started urinating outside of the litter box. He isnt grooming himself, his nose is crusting (I clean it off, but it returns) and now he seems to be twitching. I also noticed today that he is having trouble hopping up on to the bed. He is eating, drinking, and remains at my side allowing me to pet him, pick him up, and he's purring. I have scoured the web to find "symptoms of a dying cat" and cant find anything. He isnt showing any indications of pain or discomfort.
