Guinness Book of World Records: Tallest Catby Dr. Chris
September 30, 2010 Scarlett's Magic, who is an F1 Savannah cat, holds the record for both the World's Tallest Cat and the Longest Domestic cat. According to the latest measurements, Scarlett's Magic is 18.07 inches tall and is 42.72 inches long. The owner is Kimberly and Lee Draper. Scarlett's Magic also held the previous records, but she continued to grow and now has set a new world record again. The savannah cat is actually a cross between an African serval and the domestic cat. According to some reports the ancient Egyptians actually worshiped serval cats as gods and he kept them as pets. The savannah cat breed has only recently become popular since the 1990's. The first one was produced in 1986. The F1 hybrids are usually the largest. F1 means it is the first litter from a cross breeding.
