HORSE

horse with lump on back

by rebeccadeane
(ararat)

hi,my horse has got a hard lump on her back bone it dont seem to bother her when i tuch it or push on it i just wonted to know is there a cream or some think i can buy so it will go away thank's Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,

The lump could come from many things; the saddle, start of an abscess, insect bite reaction etc.

Next time the vet is out I would have him/her take a look at it. If it doesn't seem to be bothering her it would probably be okay to just observe it for now and monitor for 1. change in size 2. change in firmness.

Thanks,

Dr. Chris
