It's simple for us...

I don't know how many people this will help, but its what we do. We live in MI, and we see my mom in NC a few times a year. We take the dog anyway, and get regular routine things done at the vet down south, for so much less. We have Chihuahuas and they are used to traveling, and we usually stay a while, so for things like shots, regular checkups, etc...its great. My sister's dog needed a tooth pulled. She had it down while staying at Mom's. It was nearly half the price. It works for us.
