	Kristen, Twilight Star, raising Wolf-Dog Hybrids by Dr. Chris Twilight Saga: Eclipse June 29, 2010 Twilight star, Kristin Stewart, recently admitted to owning wolf-dog hybrids on the David Letterman show. Stewart appeared on the show last Monday where they discussed primarily the Twilight Saga Eclipse movie which comes out this week. During the discussion, David Letterman showed a picture of Kristin's family dog, named Jack, which is a wolf-dog hybrid. Apparently the family purchased them in Florida. A wolf-dog is created by mating a dog and wolf, which are two different subspecies. Normally gray wolves are crossed either with German Shepherds or Siberian Huskies. Most organizations consider them to be unsafe as pets because of their wild origins. Approximately 40 states outlaw the ownership of wolf-dog hybrids, going so far as to ban the possession, breeding and sales. Learn more about dog breeds.
