Male dog with swollen penis

Our male dog was breeding our female dog and now his penis is swollen and hasn't gone back to where it is supposed to be. Is there anything I can do or should I just take him to the vet?

It normally takes a while for the penis to go back into the prepuce, so if your dog just got done breeding a female I would wait.

When females are around the penis will become swollen and exposed. If it stays out then I would see a vet, but it is normal for the penis to stay exposed after breeding.
