January 16, 2011 Martha Stewart was injured this week by one of her French bulldogs. She ended up with a split lip after she bent over to try and kiss them and one of them head butted her accidentally.

On her blog, Martha Stewart wrote that her French Bulldog named Francesca was startled suddenly just when she was going to kiss the dog on the head.

The injury also caused Martha to fall over as well. According to Dr. William Nolan, the doctor who cared for her, the injury was quite severe.

The cut was deep, all the way down to the muscles of the lips.

For Martha's version, check out her official blog at: The Martha Stewart Blog.

According to Martha's blog, the force of the dog's head hitting her lip was like a boxing glove hitting her hard.

Beware from dangerous infections. Always get medical help if there are symptoms of an infection or if the bite is to the hands, feet, a joint, tendon or ligament, the face or scalp, the genitals, or the nose or ears.
