Mixed shelter cats
by Pat Hallett
Fourteen years ago we went to adopt a kitten at our local shelter. I was very depressed after a death in my family and felt I needed a pet. My husband said alright but only one. When we got to the shelter there were two kittens, sisters... I couldn't choose and it was my husband who said we shouldn't separate them. We adopted them both and I can't tell you the joy we have had from our cats Cicely and Roslyn. They have very individual personalty's and are extremely intelligent. They have never been a problem as far as jumping on kitchen counters, etc. They are like our children and have traveled with us in our travel trailer everywhere. They brought new life into our home when we really needed it and have given us nothing but unconditional love and comfort and happiness for all of these years. I can't imagine life without them. They weren't any special breed, just listed as tabby by the veterinarian, but they are priceless to us just as they are. They gave me comfort and happiness when I needed it and I hope I have been worthy of having them in my home all of these years. Click here to read or post comments.
