Pit Bulls

I believe the dangerous dog stigma of Pit Bulls in general is misleading, as there is the fact that a lot of people who don't know how to properly care or treat an animal get a Pit Bull because its a status symbol and looks "cool" to have one. Those are the people who's dogs often bite, as well as regular household Pit Bull pets who are mistreated, or are in-bred. This side of the story often goes ignored. Every single Pit Bull that I have ever met has the best temperament imagineable and has been excellent with children. My current roommate has a Pit Bull that is a Service Animal. When trained and treated appropriately, these can be one of the nicest and gentlest breeds. On a recent temperament report, I found even that Golden Retreivers scored lower than Pit Bulls, even in the "agressiveness" section.
