Pitbulls Diet Change Resulted in Swollen Red Face and Bumps on Body

My pitbull has a swollen face that has turned red. His eyes are nearly swollen shut and its spreading throughout his body where you can see the bumps through his fur. I have tried to keep him cool by using a cold towel on him to try to reduce the swelling. I just recently got him from a family member that had him and he was with me for about 3 days so far. He eats Pedigree dry food but I found that that yesterday they were feeding him Pedigree canned food. Also this pitbull has a lot of gas that i think is from the change in food and I gave him porkhide bones that i thought he would enjoy but i don't think it agrees with him. Please tell me what should I do? Is he going to be okay?

Hmmy dog has had the same thing recently happen like yesterday face swollen and he itches it sometimes also bumps on his leg I tho maybe it was a bee sting but still unsure. He also eats pedigree dry and canned food :s
