Rhodesian Ridgeback with Sudden Hearing Loss on Rimadyl

What would cause total hearing loss in an otherwise healthy 7 yr old Rhodesian ridgeback/mix? The dog had ACL repair 8 weeks ago with follow up cephalosporin use. She is currently on Rimadyl 2 tabs/day. She has a good appetite and normal bowel and urinary habits. She is difficult to arouse from a deep sleep and spends a lot of time sleeping. This is all new behavior.

I am not a vet but we have had a terrible experience with our puppy who was put on Rimadyl after his neutering last Thursday. Been at the emergency room 3 times since - clearly had a toxic reaction to Rimadyl: nose bleed, hearing and smell loss, focal seizures. After lots or research there is a small percentage of dogs who simply cannot tolerate Rimadyl - we will NEVER use it again. He is still not right. Take a look at the research on the internet - lots of problems with Rimadyl.
