Tiger cat scratching and hair loss

I have a one year old tiger cat. She has been scratching around her neck just lately, leaving awful sores. BUMPY everywhere Also , she is loosing her hair right at the base of her back just where her tail starts. Its a bald spot with a few strands of very course hair. There are a few scabs there to. She is inside never out , never. I have checked for fleas and she has no signs, I have another cat with her and she has no problem . could this be an allergy? What do I do?

a little reassurance 4 u

My 7 year old cat has the same symptoms as you have described, not so much the sores but def. the bumpy scabby skin all over the back and especially at the base by the tail and hair falling out. My cat is very much an outdoor cat so I don't think it is related to being in or out. Somebody told me that it could be 'cat acne'- I have not taken him to the vet because he does not seem to be in pain and it tends to come and go. If you're really worried then obviously take to the vet or phone the vet for a little advice( vets can be very expensive!!) I just wanted to reassure you really my cat has had it for the best part of a year and he still acts like a kitten!! I wish you and your cat the best
