Top Three Factors Involved with Dog Training
Many people try to over complicate dog training issues, especially if you are trying to correct a dog's behavior problem. Before resorting to any electronic dog training kits, here are three things that you must consider.
1. First of all, do you have a proper plan and a set of goals of what you want to have your dog learn? Many people get frustrated with their dogs when in fact the dogs are frustrated with them. Many people try to train dogs without a clear set of goals in mind and with no strict schedule.
And because there's no strict dog training schedule, the dogs will often forget what was taught at the last session leading to frustration of the owner and the dog.
2. Second, are you, as the owner, aware of the latest dog training techniques? Many people think they know how to train a dog simply because they have taught a dog how to sit or lay down before. However dog training is much more complicated than this. It is recommended that you get additional training if you want to correctly train your dog.
3. Third, if there is problem training a dog then many people question whether or not the dog is trainable or not. Almost all dogs are trainable with very few exceptions. If a dog does seem extremely stubborn, this just means that you need to be firmer with the dog in your commands. Also some dogs are stubborn because past dog trainers have made them this way.
Ultimately the success or failure of dog training is up to you. There are dozens and dozens of books and training videos on how to properly train dogs.
If you just invest in some education for yourself, then when you go to train your dog you'll see much better results.
