Most Common Dog and Cat Medical Conditions

The most common dog and cat medical conditions are not surprising as many of these conditions are chronic, requiring repeat visits to the veterinary clinic.

Dogs with chronic ear infections and cats with renal failure seem to spend more time at the vet clinic than at home.

Below on this list you notice several things:

1) You can see that pets visit the vet for many of the same reasons humans do.

2) You will also notice similar conditions on both charts.

3) You will also notice that a lot of these are reoccurring conditions.

These are the most common pet medical conditions reported last year by VPI.
