Video: Austin The Flying Lion Pomeranian

August 16, 2010 Then next time you are at Venice Beach you might see a flying Pomeranian called Austin the "Flying Lion." Both him and his owner, Johnny Abbie Mitchell, have performed all over the world, like the Rome Olympic Games, the Sundance Festival, and even on the HBO Comedy Tour.

It started several years ago when Johnny wanted to get his dog away from an approaching pitbull. As he skateboarded he simply pulled Austin the "Flying Lion" off the ground and he landed perfectly on his hand.

The Pomeranian seems to be perfectly comfortable sitting on Johnny's hand as he skates down the boardwalk. They have done stunts together on skateboards and snowboards.

Both Johnny and Austin the "Flying Lion" sport Mohawks.
